Doug Vogel教授简介

Doug Vogel is Professor of Information Systems (IS) and an Association for Information Systems (AIS) Fellow as well as AIS Past President and, currently, Director of the eHealth Research Institute as a Recruited Expert in the School of Management at the Harbin Institute of Technology. He has published widely and been recognized as the most-cited IS author in Asia Pacific. His research interests reflect a concern for encouraging efficient and effective utilization of computer systems in an atmosphere conducive to enhancing the quality of life.

讲座内容概要

Universities, by nature, are rich sources of big data e.g., students and research.  However, universities (like most organizations and institutions) have problems in internally leveraging use of big data. This presentation will explore a variety of big data issues with examples from the Harbin Institute of Technology.  Special attention will be given to getting big data used and useful in university contexts with supportive research methodology.
